Pictured here…in one of his race jerseys is Mick Walsh, our only Solo Racer, so far this year. Mick participated in last years’ Race Across the West, from California to Colorado. He is an avid cycler and a top competitor. Mick is flanked by two well known Rotarians in the Seattle/Redmond areas. David Endicott is known for being the “tuba guy”, previous Seattle 4 member and co-founder of Music 4 Life. Kelly Kyle is the President of Redmond Rousers Rotary, current Rotarian of the Year for district 5030 and co-founder of the Coup de Cascades Race.
With only a few days away from the inaugural race & ride to support ENDING POLIO….. the concept is simple. RIDE because YOU can…because children who contract POLIO …..can’t. I bet if you’d sign up and ride or race….you will be forever changed by your journey this weekend. We plan on having FUN, learning about POLIO and what we can do to stop it. Your participation is needed to do it….now. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have given Rotary International a 200 million dollar challenge….to match that amount in 3 years. With only 8 more months to go….we are at 191 million…and growing. But we still need your help.

Later on SUNDAY at 3pm , come back to Marymoor park for the Awards ceremony and FUN as we unveil WHO will be the 1st ever COUP de CASCADES winners. Narayan & Janet , club members and professional musicians, will be there to ROCK us into a soulful time….with some GREAT music as the festivities develop. We are talking about a REALITY Bike race…101! Experience the journey… hear the stories, meet the road warriors … Come out this weekend. I can garauntee it will be wonderful.
