The Redmond Rousers Rotary Club, the race organizers, had our 1 st official, KICK OFF….and it turned into a great time to talk about the race and get good info and feedback. For the first time out, we did ok…not quite what I had in mind, but successful non the less. Polio was at the top of he list and all that was going on, only 200 cases this year, compared to 10 years ago, at nearly 250,00 cases every year.
Time tells this story…and year by year Rotarians and other partners like WHO, Unicef, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and a few other NGO’s. hindsight is 20/20 they say…and with only 200 new cases this year, we can track the progress.
