Well, The race is shaping up….and so is the RIDE. Even one of our Fans…Harrison, is proud to be a Rotary KID…. & likes the Coup de Cascades and the Redmond Rousers Rotary. He is shown here at the Derby Days Parade, getting ready to ride his bike in support of the Race.
The Coup de Cascades is fast approaching the Sept 24th & 25th dates. Everyone is excited. The posters are out at Bike Shoppes all over the State. Checkpoints are ready, captains are appointed. The many city and state permits are in. NOW, we wait….and we plan, & plan some more. Did I mention the $500.00 prize money for 1 lucky Racer over 18 years old?…. Click on AWARDS…to see the details.

Thank YOU… They were our first sponsor to really jump on-board and we suspect it was because they are very community minded and support Redmond and it’s progressive nature…..Of course they wanted to support ROTARY and all we do. Ending POLIO is no small feat. It is the largest multi country co-operative effort to eradicate a disease, EVER, in World history. Most of the money raised will go towards the END POLIO NOW, campaign, created by Rotary International. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has made funding easier with a 200 million dollar matching grant. Rotarians everywhere are asked to “step up” and help. This Coup de Cascades race and ride are only a small, part of this, but VERY important to the PR campaign of getting the word out to people everywhere. We MUST stop POLIO, or it will come back stronger than it ever was. THAT, is just NOT an option for Rotarians! The other portion of the money goes to kids and others in our community and around the world.
